Yesterday's rain brought in a fantastic haul of big fish! Not only did I manage to catch a steelhead, but I landed a giant one! This outing I achieved three amazing milestones: 1. I broke my personal best—this is officially my biggest trout to date! 2. I caught this fish using a broken rod that had been damaged during a previous encounter with another giant, missing a foot of the tip! 3. I accidentally rediscovered my lost lure, which I broke off exactly five days ago at the very same spot in the middle of the stream where another big fish had snapped my line. I thought it had swum away with it, but apparently, it spat it out right then! This is what I call a complete redemption!

Bowmanville still has a bunch of steelies! Ofc they're very wary by now and it was a bit tough to get bites, even tougher to fight on 4wt lol. 3 or 4 hooked in the mouth but only this little guy landed. I need to carry stronger tippet!

In like 2 minutes, caught this beauty of a buck. Landed him a little to jnstantly and safely released. Caught in a Golden BlueFox Spinner (Size 2). Good to be back!

What an opener. For trout and our eyes. Dragged my non-fishing friend out stupid early to Duffins to get him on a fish. Long story short it was a success. 2 hooked, 1 big beautiful boi landed! I'm so happy and proud of him!! I also landed one on a nymph and hooked a few more. Now to rant. 2 groups of ignorant clowns camped out at the spot overnight and made the experience terrible for everyone else. Pushing people out and acting obnoxious in public like they own the place, weed and alcohol included. One camp even left their fire smouldering when they left. Absolute tools.
