Spottail grunt

Was planning on going out in a kayak today, as they come with the resort, but when I got there, they said I couldn't bring my rod out. I still wanted to fish the far rocks so I walked out, only to realise it was high tide and I couldn't get there. Later on, I explored the rocks closer to me, and I was able to go further out during low tide. I landed 2 spottail grunts on a castmaster. I also saw some trigger fish and some sergeant major down there. I had to go back early because a thunderstorm came in, and I didn't want to be stuck on the volcanic rocks when it was wet. Tomorrow, I might try a large popper or the sp minnow of the rocks before high tide, and I might go back with some buffet shrimp during low tide
