CHINDERAH BUST UP PART III Met up with the lovely Karina for a few hours and fished our little hearts out. Starting under the big highway bridge - She reeled in a nice Breambo and that’s when she caught the bug - ‘the fishing bug’. That exhilarating feeling after you’ve caught a fish and you just need more!!!!…lots more bites to follow but they just wouldn’t get on her line. I had 6 little Bream offer themselves to me in that session before we decided to check out the old bridge outcrop. Again lots of nibbles…. I decided to swap to some Bonito bait and cast off the bridge close to shore. I felt something heavy take the line and drag it down but then let it go. I waited for the bait to sink down again and WHAM!!!! I hooked myself a monster of a Flathead! Like what the heck! I’m yelling, Karina is yelling…the bloke at the end of the bridge is yelling…I’m thinking…there is no way I’m getting that Flattie out by lifting it the 6m up…the bloke meanwhile comes flying past us yelling ‘I’LL GET IT OUT!!! He runs past and virtually flings himself down the side of the bridge as I bring the Flattie close to shore. It was a whirlwind of yells and hoots and a flailing fish! Well old mate managed to get the Flattie out and climb back up the cliff edge. Crazy…a nice 53cm Flattie to finish off the day and old mate took him home for a feed! Still shaking and laughing!!! Lovely lovely outing!!!!!! #Catch23
