Two trips to the Central Coast Surf Fishing: Killcare & Pearl Beach across two weekends. Trip was of the usual when almost at the destination a sudden change of plan occurred. Instead headed for Killcare Beach. Did 4WD with my fishing cart, though in need of balloon wheels! Set up and waited Beach was quite with surfers hitting the waves while dogwalkers being walked by their pets. Surf was strong, light wind, ambient temp about 17 degrees celxius and slightly overcast. Quiet most of the time however hauled in some fair prizes: Australian salmon (adult & juvenile). The adult AS gave a fight more so out of the water than in. A nice catch and a PB of 64cm. That wraps up the day for me as it was getting late. Definitely need a chest freezer. To fit all these PBS. The other trip was back to Pearl Beach with friends from fishing club, teaching them surf fishing. Night before did a group seesion to understand about their gear, rigs and knowing how to read the surf. All this training prep resulted in PB smashed: 92cm/111cm - banjo/pj sharks. Till next report...keep 🎣
