A fine day, light cool breeze, with some clouds playfully marking the skies with mosaic patterns; like a turtle or a hare or even Starship Enterprize! My umbrella, too dances with the wind, twisting and turning like a wind vane on top of a mill tower. Tide is at peak and no one in sight other than the odd glimpse of distant structures as the tree branches sway with the wind. Meditative Chinese bamboo flute music gently caresses my ears and the sunlight glistening on the water's surface as I try to decode the messages. Seated at my setout (while others have a different rig setout, this is mine), testing and playing with my new gear, I wait patiently for the big one...hours past and on my last leg of remaining bait, I hooked two baby breams in the oddest locations; not once but thrice, in the eye! What are the odds? Another was in the belly....I can only summarize that they (baby fish) have much to learn about playing with fishing hooks.

A rest day with personal work plaguing the mind at first light and contributing poor weather suspending thoughts of venturing out to fish after days of hot, cold and rainy weather terminating timeout for a kit-kat. Finally, after hours of absent-mindedness surfing the net, a break in the weather cleared all woes of another day indoors; now I have a better understanding about why the Swedish color their homes in bright and vibrant natural colors to wish away depression in times like these. Lazily set up shop and comfortably sipping on a German beer, with a light summer breeze, dancing about around the back of the neck and on the tip of my ears while the sun's rays weaving his hypnotic light on the water's surface like fairies playfully skipping about. German beer half empty, reached for the rod to check the bait, and what do I see on the hook...? This goes to those out there whom can identify what Indian God this image represents, if at all my statement being correct. And what this bearer brings for me? All in all, a mystery catch every time, without fail in this river not to mention a large pool of bubbles erupting at a distance witnessed by me and another fisherman...what could generate such a large amount bubbles, hence, another mystery? Any thoughts?

A rather uneventful day out with the rods stationed at arm's reach, watching the world go by with murmurs of busy traffic in the distance defining the time of day. After a week back from work with aching muscles from a long Xmas/NY break, the warm summer sun gently massages the dull pain away with meditative bamboo flute music casting as far as the line would travel easing away any present day worries on the mind. I decided to feed the fish bread and to my surprise they came and went in shoals/schools and were at it as though there was no tomorrow; even the ducks too. The times must be tough, I say, feed the fish and in return they will feed us. Thus, did not catch anything but caught on camera, what will be...many episodes to write.

Monday the 4th; first Monday of the new year '21 with an indescision as to whether I should go fishing and tough the storm or not and be a pansy in the comfort of my own home. In the end, the love for fishing trumps any home comforting desires; I cannot explain in words but those who have experienced this feeling before will know what I mean. Anyhow, long story short; I did not catch a fish but the rain caught me! Waiting to the very last minute while carefully observing the storm cell moving quickly over me before ending it to avoid total drenching to the bones; the image attached does not justify the experience (the brightness on objects is from the lightening) I was drenched and forced to take shelter with the rain dropping 10ml, in 10mins and the wind stripped me of my umbrella from staying dry. What a fun day even when I did not catch a fish! PS: forgot to mention, am doing my bit for the environment too...
