Just doing some more exploring found an absolute tank but tried to muscle him in and he popped off

Looking for some help from my fishing friends. The photo is us setting up the new ice shack in the front yard. Does anyone know how the ice is on Chatfield? I need a place to go tomorrow morning. Love to get any advice thanks
