2 decent smallies w live shiners. Biggest was 15 inch Didn't wanna keep them but they inhaled and gutted the hook. So. They ended up.as dinner! First catch of the year! . After spending so many years salt water fishing and sports fishing for tournaments and just putting fish on ice like I really prefer to put them out of their misery and just Cut the gills in spinal cord and bleed them out if possible as fast as possible because I'm not in a tournament. If you're in a tournament you cannot bleed out the fish because you want all of that blood weight to register in order for you to get a win! As far as small mouth Bass I would recommend bleeding them out, Especially if you do not like a fishy type of fish small mouth bass is a nice white meat. It can really be a great delicacy type fish it all just depends on how it's cooked!

Biggun. Turned him into a couple nice plates of Blackened Small mouth bass! And a nice sammich the next day!!! Best way to eat small mouth, marinated for a few hour with fresh lemon and lime . Garlic salt and pepper, blackened with butter! Amazing!
