I throw the corn for carp, but channel cats will eat it as well. 👍 I am practicing my catfish noise; next attempt will be much better! 😂🎣

No cats or bass today, but I had some fun with the carp, and finally got some sunfish at lock 29! I *think* that little fish at the end is just a pale bluegill? I'm not very good at sunfish yet, and that one's a toughie. 🤷 Side note, please teach your beautiful children to be respectful of other folks' gear; I will always be kind to your child about it, but other folks may not be as patient. 🙏💜

Got ahold of a couple bluegill finally, and my first little black crappie! Little dude ~8-9", but a lot of fun! First fish on the new little panfish setup 💜

In town for a day, so we hit up one of the ol' reliables for a good fight! Biggest carp I've ever landed (not big for carp, but big for carp I've caught 😊) pulled me knee-deep into the canal while I was working them down to the shoreline; we're even. 👍 Low-water seemed to really slow things down for other species, but the carp were going WILD! Couldn't hardly get the pictures out. RIP to the thermacell I lost in the canal; you done good, little buddy. 🙏💜

No bass today 💔 But a few pictures of some beautiful carp that were hungry for the sweet corn this morning! No weights/measurements (I need to get a sling, the 2 heaviest felt about 8-10 lbs!), but some great fights and great fish. Don't sleep on your common carp; they're bountiful, not very hard to catch (if I can do it, you can do it 🥰), and STRONG! Grab a slip shot, swivel, and a small circle hook, and get to fishin'!
