Asian kid vs asian invaders lol. Went down the IL River for some "copi". Didnt like the fact you had to snag, as it definitely is not something I enjoy, but when done ethically/legally to something that is ruining our rivers ecosystem, and you actually plan on eating everything you catch, its a possibility. Sad how many they are. Hooked this one on the last cast to get both a silver and a bighead. Hell of a fight with the rod going parallel on 20 lb test with no drag. Pain in the butt to clean but we got some nice boneless pieces off of em. Prepared the red meat for future cut bait. Made the filets into fish cakes and blackened baked. Tasted pretty good with no fishy taste at all but with a very unique texture. Overall a very versatile fish that you can use for everything. Although it can seem futile, the more we learn to use these fish, the better we can work on eliminating them.
