Stream Walker At Embarras River
Stream very low with remarkably low viz. Still found fish in the holes here. Great spot for a quick few hours of fishing, esp on UL.

FINALLY...safe ice. Great to be catching fish again. Esp through a hole in the ice. 4 trout and a channel.cat. Missed this all last year. Enjoy it while I can; looks like we loose it early next week w/ rain and 40s. :(
Stream Walker At Embarras River
Maybe the last trip with the yak this year and the first time launched here. Just a few photos of the dozen or so LMBs, 2 gills and 2 blk crappies. Slow going nonetheless. And boy, were the fish chilly to handle. Surprised they were as fiesty as they were. Water temps low to mid 50s.

In a stream where a 12" LMB is an "oh my", there were even bigger ones out to play today! Definitely PB for this spot. About 20 LMB all day with a few crappies and 1 'gill (camera shy). Gorgeous day to be out too! Hope some of you got to enjoy it.

After a slow day at the river, I thought "what they hey" and tossed a spinner in the fall trout stocked pond next door. BAM! on 1st cast and there's a 'bow. Released in hopes I catch him through the ice later.

It may not look it by the photo (perhaps my lack of photography skill) but tied a PB for rock bass in a place I didn't think had any of them. Nice 10" black crappie and 3 small LMBs to round out a slow but windy windy day. Water temp back up to 60F here...wow!

1.25" of rain hardly moved creek water levels but boy it (or something) got to the fish! 20+ LMB with 2 14" and several 11"-12". A couple black crappie and bluegills to round it out. And all in a headwater creek. Great fall day. Water temp 50F.
