Went 5 for 7. No sizeable Pike, but definitely an action packed day on the river. Jerkbaits have been the ticket for me today.

I had today off work so I tried 3 new spots. First two spots were terrible so I moved on. I do better overall in high water conditions but I like to scout for new spots in low water conditions, way easier to hike. Anyways, finally nabbed a decent one that bit 3 minutes into the major moon phase on a live Creek Chub. Lures failed to produce today. Pike are already chonking up, it's wild!

Decent one on the river the other day. Key to the bites been finding the deepest, slack water possible, near structure - cloudier or shadier the better.
