old timer came out to the dock and said there were some big elusive bass that no one could catch. Proved him wrong in 2 casts. Really satisfying catch

Living in Maine all my life ive always heard about all the brook trout here. But not being into fishing until this year I haven't caught one. Also they aren't found in many lakes or rivers. Like the name suggests they are found in brooks and small streams. Heading 3 hours up north camping I took the opportunity to fourwheel and hike into thick maine woods to find brooks were these fish hang out. And lucky me I found a perfect stream. there I caught many small ones. I also caught a 8 inch, but also a ten inch one,which is a decent size for these small fish. I only brought the big one home and had it for supper. Overall a good adventure and a great catch!
