Just got back from an epic trip up north for my first smallmouth trip of the year to Mille Lacs Lake Minnesota. This was my 7th year fishing Mille Lacs which is one of the premier smallmouth fisheries in the country. Caught over 50+ fish on jerk baits many over 5 pounds, such great bite! We spent the last weekend at Lake Mille Lacs! It was our first time there! 😁 An enormous body of water, the WINDY situation gave us the feeling of the sea! 😍 And also kept us from getting larger fish, since we don't own a boat and we're a shore fishing family! 😅 But some day we'll go back ready to ride those heavy waves and in to Lake Mille Lacs to catch Walleyes, Smallmouths, Pikes and Muskies!
