For my trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Minnesota, I refurbished my father’s old spinning reel. It is a Michell 300 from 1955. He last used it with his boys on a canoe trip to the BWCA in 1963. It worked perfectly but required some relearning to use it.

Traveled to the Boundary Waters of Minnesota with my brother to fish where we last fished with our father. We caught at least 3 dozen bass, many in the 1 to 3 lb range, a few northern pike the largest over 30”) and even a walleye. We even raced a moose.
