Squeaked out a hndful of tautog on a rough day. They were hitting good on sand fleas but only the bigger ones, which i found hard to come by. The rough water made them fight extra hard, definetly worth the extra patience.

My friend’s first time togging, we slayed caught over 3 dozen. Ive never seen so many big tog in one day, all over the jetty, yet I still havent got my keeper smh. Its driving me crazy.

Fishing is insanity. I know theres keeper tog out here and im going insane trying to catch one. Went to the surf to catch a few cocktails, need the striper to get here just for something different to target.

Sandy Hook was a complete bust so i headed down to Belmar and the Tautog bite was incredible. No keepers yet again, but i cant complain about over a dozen tog in less that 3 hours, most over a foot.

Went up to Long Branch but apparently the striper and blues were even more north, so i caught some dogfish while catching sand fleas. Caught quite a few Tautog but nothing much over a foot, illnever get my keeper at this rate.

New PB tog, still looking for a keeper. They were biting even more finicky than usual and i couldnt find many big sand fleas, which they seem to prefer.

Lost 2 good blues while fishing on a jetty north of here for albies, which were no where to be found. Made up for it with my first good day of tautog fishing. No keepers but these guys are seriously strong, all caught on sand fleas I harvested.
