Barnegat Light, New Jersey

Went to the shore at 5:30am to fish for stripers. No luck. Switched gears and fished for Tautog and it was a slow start, but this made the 15 hour fishing bender worth it.

First week of the new limits went very well for me and a friend, we both took home 3 well over keeper size. I caught 3 more just a hair over 15” but threw them back, still limited out tho! This fall has been the best tog season I’ve ever had.

Decided to post a compilation of some of my tog from the last 2 months instead of posting almost every single weekend and burning my spot (more than it already is) absolutely crushed it this fall, multiple keepers each trip with a 17” as my best

Nice keepers and a few others around 15” amazing bite when you catch the tide right and keep your casts consistent, fish after fish.

And of course, the obligatory tautog. This concludes today's fishing bender.
