Deposit, New York

Spent the morning floating the east branch with my buddies from the fly fishing club. We hooked into some nice fish, the bow being the biggest of the float, even though we missed some even nicer fish. We were nymphing all day with pheasant tails. The fish had stomachs full of apple caddis but they just kept eating the pheasant tails. In the afternoon, I hooked into a couple more bows in the west branch, again on pheasant tails. My last fish of the day was the nice 20 incher at the end. Plan on hitting the beaverkill tomorrow, and plan on throwing more pheasant tails

Almost went 3 for 3 with the skunk for the last 3 fly fishing sessions. This guy came at the very end of the day on a size 14 rusty spinner. Was throwing dries for most of the day because of so many risers, but they just never ate them. Even when I was sure of what they were eating, the main hatches being hendricksons and tan Caddis, they still wouldn't go for it. Hopefully will get more tomorrow
