Bass weren’t biting too well so I caught about 10 gills. I found some bigger ones nesting and man they were either hungry or protecting their nests. A great time overall! #122

No bass yesterday, today they wouldn’t stop. Just the smaller bucks though. I believe the larger females are nesting. A great day as usual! #110

Bass weren’t biting, so I decided to try for some blue gill. Picked up about 12 and had enough. Also caught a crappie. So not a bad day after all! # 102

So rain was forecasted for the whole weekend. 😖 I couldn’t handle the wait and so went out in the pouring rain and snagged these guys on the loon whopper popper! Then I went home to hot chocolate and to buy a new rain jacket. A good day after all! #89

So I finally caught a decent bass…on a whopper popper! It was epic!! Well, not the biggest I’ve caught but she slammed that lure. You just got to love the top water action! 🔥🔥🔥#87

Today was a dink fest! I think the females are getting ready to spawn. Anyway, I was able to pick up a six pack. The Ozark jerk bait was particularly effective. 🔥🔥#84

Today the loon whopper popper was on 🔥, but only on one end of the pond. Still, it was a blast! Also picked up one on the bitsy bug jig. #78
