First ever trout!

Trying my hand fishing with flies on a super ultralight setup.

Went to Limestone Springs for some trout for the larder! Was tossing a size 0 Joe’s Flies spinner with no luck. Tied on a size 1, first cast, got this big 4 pounder! New PB rainbow for me! 9.25 pounds between the 4. That spinner was then sacrificed to the water gods a few casts later. Caught the others on Trout Magnet.

Took my older daughter out to Limestone Springs Fishing Preserve, this morning. Her first time fishing for real. I caught the first one, on the very first cast, while showing her how to do it. Her first one was over 2lbs, and her second one...a real tank!!! 23 inches long. She was quite pleased. And I couldn’t be prouder! You can see how big the fillet is!

Took my son to Limestone Springs this morning. Just his 2nd time ever, going fishing, first time with me. These 2 trout are his first fish he ever caught. He was so happy! And so am I!
