Not a bad stretch this morning...

Fished a wooly bugger in the dark, caught the crappie, one trout, and some bluegill. Switched to caddis, caught another trout and more bluegill. When I started having trouble keeping the caddis afloat, I tied on a parachute adams and two more trout and more bluegill. Did not want to leave...

Caught on a Spiderman rod, with a slug pulled from under a log by the waterside. First pickerel since September.

Wednesday. I literally had time to cast twice. Got lucky on the first!

Prior three times here, 4, 3, and 2 catches. Today, this 1. Diminishing returns has to be me not adapting my fishing as fast as the stockers are adapting to the wild. Trout were still plentiful and active. It was still fun trying a handful of new things.

Two more Rainbows this morning on a black Perfect Hatch Wooly Bugger.

Almost the same day as yesterday - just missing a bass. A Brookie alone is a prize for me; Rainbows are my most common success when targeting trout; and the Redbreast in this pond always fight proud. Another good day!

Third and fourth catches this morning yielded two more species - largemouth bass and redbreast sunfish.
