They were crushing the @CastCray slug bug this evening. No bites on a jig so l went back to all the same spots with the slug bug on a 1/8th ounce pegged Texas rig and caught fish at every spot I didn't have luck with the jig

Got a decent one off a bed last night flipping a jig. Got him on the new KastKing Verus. Awesome reel for $60! Took three different tries to get this guy because he kept picking it up and spitting it out off his bed. Hags Baits jig and @CastCray slug bug got it done. Didn't post anything for the last tournament because it went awful. Just didn't find the fish. I know what I did wrong, so hopefully I can carry it over to regionals in May. For those of you who keep up with my YouTube channel, there won't be a video for that tournament

Finally found a golf course that lets you fish as long as you pay the fee to get in. Got this football in the creek it overflows into. Couldn’t get a bite in the actual pond though. Did see a dead crappie on the bank so might go back and target some of those. Maybe it just wasn’t a great day for bass there. Probably worth another trip back to make sure

Got on some spawners this evening. Started off with a solid 5 pounder 1st flip into a brush pile. Forgot to take pictures so these are screenshots from a video lol. Lost that 5 pounder a few days earlier due to using the wrong gear. Came back with a flipping stick and hauled him out. A little before I left I found a long skinny one. Both on a hybrid jig flipping into brush. Didn't have long so l'll probably be back tomorrow lol.

Good Ol Carpski saved me from the skunk

Been trying for a long time now and can officially say I broke the 6lb mark! First time taking the boat out in 2025 and this tank was waiting on me! Weighed in at 6lbs even. Hard to beat catching your PB with your favorite technique! Great start to 2025 and somehow more pumped for my 2025 season to start than I was before this fish. I think I'm ready to go find a few more of these now lol.

Carp are the only things willing to bite so far this year. Texas trout haven’t been very nice to me lol

Got my first catches of the year a couple weeks ago. Started off at one spot going after some crappie and managed one little guy and a little bass. Switched up to a different location as it was getting dark and landed a pretty solid carp. Awesome fight! Excited to see what the new year brings!
