Decent catch probably weighed 4+ pounds gave me a good little fight

Spent an hour watching it chill in a shady hole right by the shore chasing away little panfish so I put on the biggest lure I had with an eye to provoke a territorial strike. It took some effort but with enough casts it nibbled at the tail of the worm so on the next cast I put the brakes on hard right in front of its face and it went for the kill on the jig head. Hook set to land was just a few cranks of the reel but the hour of experimentation with different lures made it feel like a good fight. This was my first fish in about four years and took two days of fishing various lakes and parts of the river.

Just out for a morning of peace and quiet before Labor Day weekend... Went beyond the usual weight of 1/4oz to 3/4oz to get down through the weeds with a 24-28" leader. Probably would of limited out but ran out of time... Smallest @ 1.7lb, Largest @ 4.15lb

I'm not entirely sure of weight or length but it was roughly 12 inches and 1 lb. 1st fish in 15+ years! Glad to be back at it.

That first hook set hit through both jaws. But I got it out with no damage to the fish, thankfully. Both of these were a pound and a half to 2 pounds
