Omak, Washington

My buddy from Colorado got in yesterday afternoon. First thing we did was hit the river to get him his first smallie and first Pikeminnow.

It's been hot for the last couple weeks and the swimbait bite has been non existent. Decided to take a break from lakes and swimbaits to finesse some smallies out of the river. Only managed to land a couple small fish but, it was a nice change of pace to relax and float down the Okanogan. I also saw a few deer, some angry beavers, a sunken boat from the floods a few years back and some salmon piled up in the mouth of a little creek.

Feels like it's been awhile since I've posted! but great morning! They we biting like crazy!

Caught two nice ones! Gunna hit it back up in the morning.

fun time. went fishing with daughter and brother. was catching a lot but only one kept. we werea just right by the omak bridge. fishing on the okanogan.
