Wife and I trolling 6 inch white/red Super Shad Rap and 6 inch jointed silver/black/red shad-shaped crank bait at 3 - 3 1/2 mph in 12 - 15 ft. over weed beds. 26, 22 1/4 and 21 1/2 inch pike. All will go in the frying pan. First time on Lake Owen and staying at Lake Owen Resort. Beautiful, scenic lake and good fishery. Check out the lake and resort.

Last Spring 2020, Kayaking, jig and crappie minnows. 2 people, 5 Brook trout limit per day/per person. Very very easy to max out quickly, my best advice, use a very small hook, and as long as you let go your small ones go first, there could be some much larger trout to be kept within the 5 fish limit. I’m sure it doesn’t matter in a lake like this, but I went one under limit, all I needed. I just like the seclusion and sometimes just wondering my eyes and mind off into the quiet forest, being brought back to the roots of true beauty and nature.

Caught this nice bass on a small white plastic worm jigging along the bottom.
