After leaving the crab pots in again last night, I returned after work late this afternoon to find pots full of crabs. Heaps of small Bucks, small and big Jenny's that were released. But these 3 nice Bucks consented to a cool down and a cook up. 🤙🦀🤤

My mate and me put my crab pots in yesterday afternoon and left them in overnight. We got about 20 small bucks that were all returned back to the water. The last pot had this very nice buck that was keen to come home for dinner. Fresh mud crab is absolutely delicious 🤙🦀🤤. The lure at the end I found in the trees on the bank of the creek.

FISHIN MISSION: PART 3 We headed back out to check the crab pots this morning. I thought we were gonna do ok after how ruthless they were through the night. My mouth was already watering at the thought of my fresh mud crab, bream and flathead feast. We got 2 undersize Bucks and one decent Jenny, as well as one of 3 undersize Bucks from yesterday afternoon that all continue to play in the mud. Back to reality now with a cold beer while I do my Sunday afternoon chores before work tomorrow. Happy weekend folks, hope you're having a good one and hearing your drag screaming 🤙🎣🦎🦀

FISHIN MISSION:- PART 2 Upon arriving back to give this spot a fair crack, the tide was still running out and we could see big schools of Poddy Mullet, Prawns flicking around and the odd flash through the water. It looked very promising. We had a quick flick with soft plastics with no success. I immediately started casting my net for livies and got a good haul of Poddy Mullet, which were kept alive in a bucket with a 12v aerator. Brad had already hooked a legal size Bream, that joined his mate in the fridge that Alana had caught earlier in the day. On one of my casts I got a very small Mangrove Jack and a little flatty, instantly my hopes sky-rocketed and I was pumped for the night session. On my last throw of the net, I pulled in (to my disbelief) this nice 54 cm lizard, I was pretty stoked to say the least. A PB for the cast net lol. I hooked onto 1 good fish after dark after the tide turned. It took a large dead herring bait and give me a few good runs and fighting side to side before spitting the hook. The rest of the night was uneventful apart from pulling in big crabs to have them let go at the net. We pulled the pin, left the crap pots in to check in the morning and left at midnight. 🤙🎣🦎💯

Part 1 4x4 FISHIN MISSION We went on a mission yesterday to explore a waterway I found on the FishAngler map a while ago. Loaded the car up with all our gear and set off into forestry trails. With the missus beside me and 3yr old and my mate navigating from the back seat, we found this little gem and the tide was running out hard. My mates first cast to the edge of the mangroves with his soft plastic saw him hook up to a nice fish that peeled alot of drag before snapping his line. Switch to bait, and my daughter gets 6 bream in about an hour and a half. There were heaps of crabs about, we were winding them in holding our mangled bait and bent or broken hooks, but had forgotten the net to be able to land them. There was also a tonn of bait fish and prawns about. The bite went off and it was quite hot in the sun, so we headed home with 1 legal size Bream in the fridge. My mate and I added the cast net, landing net and crabpots to our arsenal and returned to fish the turning low tide and into the night 🤙🎣.
