Turtle encounter at this beautiful city pond. this time a junior painted turtle. Very nice color! Safely removed hook and gently put back in the water. Taught my son how to count the plates on the back.

I think this pond is by far the most family friendly pond around the city. If you want to learn or want to teach a kid how to fish this is it. Very easy access, lots of bank space, plenty of small fish. Beautiful surroundings. No mosquitos! Just park at Evergreen Brickworks walk to the back.
