Finally back with a banger of a tank! To summarize how I was doing lately, I was in Illinois, USA for a while (not fishing) with family members. Then, coming back, wanted to aim for smallies in Sauble and the river in Owen Sound, but sadly, a failed attempt (pretty much nothing but a tiny bluegill). Saturday, July 20th, 2024: Anyways, went to a new spot, expecting to catch at least a 1 or 2 pounder. To my surprise, I caught my first fish on a drop shot rig, and it was a tank of a largie. Yes, this 3+ pounder basically became an official new personal best (PB) largemouth. Funny enough, it hadn’t fought too much (aside from hit’s heavy weight) in which will get to later in another post. Despite the unsafe edges along the shore, it was thankfully released with safety with no injury or harm to both me and the fish. By making this post, the next catch will be posted from today.
