First ever time ice fishing! I was expecting to be skunked a few times while Dad and I hone in on good spots. Got lucky after about 3 hours. Didn’t use any meat or chum, only a white tube jig on a 2-3 inch hook/head. Bounced it against the bottom (approx 28 ft deep) for a while before bringing it up slowly. The fish hit it at about 24-23 feet of depth while rising.
