If you live nearby and consider yourself a hardcore fisherman like I do, you should definitely come here to give it a try! At first glance, this pond may seem lifeless—the water is stagnant, the surface is completely covered in algae, and it looks dead. But don’t be fooled; beneath the surface, there are plenty of fish swimming around! Before you head out, make sure to prepare yourself with the following essentials: 1. A sturdy pair of rubber boots, as access to the prime fishing spots can be quite flooded. 2. Live bait such as minnows or nightcrawlers—plastic lures don’t tend to work well here. 3. Practice your casting! You’ll find that space is limited for throwing your bait. 4. Bring plenty of patience! You might end up snagging your line on top of the algae frequently, so just retrieve, rinse, and repeat. Happy fishing, everyone!

Take a look at this pond; it’s completely covered in green scum and algae. Despite that, I still enjoy coming here to fish because it presents such a challenge! I have to aim my cast carefully to land my bait precisely in the open pockets of water. If I accidentally land on the scum, I simply try again. As long as I can get my bait into those pockets, I usually get a bite! It’s incredible how hungry the fish in this pond are! I find this method of fishing to be incredibly fun!

Literally fishing inside a salad bowl, with guacamole toppings LOL Yet I was able to pull out half a dozen fish thanks to this amazing bait that I was using! You can't find a water body dirtier than this!😱

Caught some really nice bluegills from the local pond. They fought so much harder than the small largies.

Was working in the area today, stopped by and caught numerous little largies while hunting down the elusive crappie!

Fishing is truly therapeutic, he is once again a happy camper! 💪🔥

My son came home upset today. I asked why. He said he was not happy at school. I said, 'Well, come fishing with me after supper then!' I brought him to a nearby pond where he had a great time. He caught all the species from the pond in 15 minutes, which normally takes me an hour and a half to do! 😂
