Never caught anything over 1lb before in 2 years of fishing. Caught 20 small mouth under my dock the night before but when I got in the canoe, busted out this old crank bait this largemouth hooked on and jumped out the water. It almost snapped my rod in half. I couldn’t grab my net so I put it in a bucket in my canoe but it jumped out the bucket back into the water. Luckily I didn’t unhook it. Brought it back and fillet it up. Nice 6lb largie. It snapped my 6lb test line when I was unhooking it.
