5 minutes into fishing, I found myself attempting to retrieve a snagged bobber from a tree branch when I lost my balance and slipped into a deep puddle, landing in water up to my hips. My pants, socks, and shoes were completely soaked, and the nightmare began as I realized I would have to endure wearing these wet clothes for the next three hours. 15 minutes later, I managed to catch a decent bass! Excitedly, I reached for my phone in my pocket to take a picture, only to discover that it was drenched with a water indicator on the screen, allowing only emergency calls. Frustrated, I attempted to smash on the phone buttons while holding the bass, causing it to thrash wildly back into water and break off one of its dorsal spikes, which lodged deeply into my palm. At one point I was worried that I might have to head to hospital to deal with the injury. Despite the pain, I was determined to continue fishing and used my lure pliers to remove the spike. 30 minutes into my fishing adventure, I found myself being chased by a swarm of insects, including bees that seemed unfazed by bug spray. In my attempt to escape from the bees, I accidentally stepped on my rod, snapping its tip. And that was my favorite rod and I felt heartbroken. Thankfully, I had brought a spare rod with me and was able to continue fishing. After an hour of perseverance, my luck finally turned around. My phone miraculously turned back on, and I located a hotspot where fish were congregating. For the next hour, I enjoyed non-stop action reeling in fish after fish with extreme excitement. Two young anglers approached me and expressed their struggles with fishing the entire day. Seeing their eagerness to learn, I spent the next hour giving them a hands-on fishing lesson. I checked their gear, corrected their tackle setups, and coached them on casting techniques and how to handle fish. Within half an hour, they had caught five fish thanks to the guidance. At the end of the day, the young anglers were grateful for the lessons and wanted to offer me money as thanks. Refused the offer and instead, I suggested they help clean up the fishing site with me. We spent 15 minutes tidying up the area and disposing of the trash responsibly at a nearby garbage site.
