Well managed to finally get out for a few hours. The river close to me was up to much to fish so headed to the canal. Bit of a drive but well worth it. It was snowing on my way there & their was frost and snow on the side of the canal. Never had a bite for over two hours. Hands were getting rather numb as were my feet ... then all of a sudden got one bite ... out of shock I just kept my rod tip still. Then the rod tip tapped again ...but this time I was ready !!! well chuffed... not another angler seen all day. Just as I was returning it a fellow fisherman past. Then another two. Before you know it they were fishing either side of me. They lasted about five minutes and then buggered off !!! Probably my last fish of the year as will be next year before I get chance again. Still here so you never know I might just get another one .... on that last cast ... all the best everyone and Tight lines for the New Year 😀😀🎣🎣
