Only fish of today but blowing a Gale and bite indication was tough

Was to hot last night to sleep so was on the canal for 08:45 .3 hours down the margins over on the far bank under trees sweetcorn lobworm not a single bite so for last hour put a spinner on and moved around the canal 1st cast with a small spinner resulted in the only fish of the day a small perch . Switched over to a bigger brighter lure and had a few follows from the pike but it must be to hot for them all sunbathing in the middle shoals of Rudd and roach the odd cruising pike ! Will have another go soon
