English Channel

One of three rays caught one after the other in a quick 2 hour session at low tide. Squid and Sandeel baits, 2 hook with one behind the weight, both baits and hooks caught. After a very quiet month a huge surprise to get the first ray, astounded that 2 more followed.

Pb smoothy by some way down on the rocks, making the most of the sun, didnt expect much and had only a small smidge of squid on the top hook he took. Havent had a fish run like that in ages, was a great fight.. 😊😊👍👍🤘

Bumpy head whiting and a doggie. Funny looking little whiting, and a doggie on some fresh lug and bits of squid. Never seen a whiting like this but guessing thats what it is.. (not a baby dolphin as someone said when they saw the photo 🤣🤣) both returned and swimming free so bumpys free to make some baby bumpys 🤘🙌💪

Most amazing two and a half hours last sat lunchtime near dymchurh.. must admit, its my first ever ray and not only was it a real struggle to get out the water and on the rocks, when i did i almost regretted it! Didnt know how to get it back but with my trusty eel glove and towel we managed! 💪💪🤣🤣🤣🤣

couple of lovely smoothhound, with my lad putting me to shame and catching the big one! (normally does tbf) 😂😂👍👍 super few hours fishing again.. 🎣🎣🦈🦈🤘🤘
