New Pb 5lb on the dot 🥳🥳

🐊A Few Doubles All Fallen To Pikeology Traces🐊 .

My first ever Graying💥 and caught from the Warwickshire avon within spitting distance of home. 🏡 When a friend sent me a video of chub nailing floating crust 🍞 a few months back, I earmarked this stretch for a visit. I decided to pack light and cover as much of the stretch as possible within the limited time I had. I was on the bank for day break with my @drennaninternational 14ft acolyte plus matched with my abu 506 close face reel. I had plenty of chublets to around a pound, then hooked something much bigger that spat the hook before I even got to see it. Next trot through an the float sunk away, then all of sudden it started zipping from one side of the river to the other, i thought what the hell Is this as it came to the surface, I could not believe my eyes a Warwickshire avon grayling. Believing to catch a grayling, I'd have had to travel the best part of 2 hours away. To have them on my doorstep has blown my mind. I'm not sure I still believe it 🤣

🔥It's not what I expected, but I'll take it 🔥 Popped down to my local river avon this evening with hopes of a few zander gracing the net, but within minutes of a roach head hitting the deck the alarm screamed into life resulting in this unit.

Popped over to the avon for the last few hours of light this evening to try and winkle out another barbel, and I wasn't disappointed. This was the first to fall to @dynamitebaits Hot fish boileys Weighing in at 6.15 I was more then happy and was contemplating packing down and heading home but something told me to stay untill last light I'm glad I did just before dark the rod tip rips round and a new pb landed pics to follow 👀

New Pb 🥳 What an evening I had last night. i only had a few hours to get out before darkness fell. After an hour, the tip wrapped round with a nice 6lb 15oz landed, which i was more then happy with being out of the avon. I considered packing down and going home but i stuck it out and just before darkness fell the tip rips round to this absolutely unit weighting in at 12lb 15oz and what a scrap it put up ran me all over the river before gracing my net. Both fish landed using using size 8 @pallatrax gripz hooks and @dynamitebaits Hot fish glm boileys over cheesy garlic pellets

My First ever warwickshire avon barbel 7lb 5oz on the 3rd trip out to a new stretch couldn't be happier with the result
