Stopped by Crabtree slough after work today and wasn't disappointed with the lillypads. Weightless Texas rigged with a 2/0 Eagle Claw worm hook and a 7 inch Berkley power worm in Cherryseed. I came across this technique years ago in Kansas for a top water alternative in low light such as overcast skies. This works around any type of vegetation such as weeds, pads and overhanging tree branches. Just twitch it in. Let the fish tell you how fast they want it.
