Fremont Lake

Late post! Had to get the pictures from a buddy. These 2 beautiful Rainbows were caught back on July 2nd during a 5 day backpacking trip in the Hoover wilderness. We were camped on the west shore of Fremont Lake and walked north to a nice stretch of shore with a deep drop off a shelf about 10 yards offshore. These fish are tricky and we had more that a few spit lures, flop out of our reach, and even break one of the kids rods! But I ended the morning with a 16” and 18” trout (my personal best) and one of the other guys pulled a 17”. We fried them up for lunch and they were great! If your up for a hike, Fremont is worth it!
