So i wanted to celebrate the Oakland Athletics wildcard win over the white Sox and i ventured out to Gustine, Ca. As I was standing on the bridge slowly bringing in my cast, twitching the tip of my rod and then right when I paused my whole line got heavy, it bowed my rod and I felt the head shake. this fighter must've jumped straight up out of the water 5 times! I was able to walk him to the bank by the bridge and boy was he heavy! I used a watermelon senko worm on a wacky rig. WHAT A RUSH!

CAUGHT MY 1ST EVER SPOTTED BASS! He was a smallie but it was fun catching him! Almost hooked his eye but the hook came right out with no damage. The senko worm on a ned rig never fails in these canals.

I snapped my tip on my okuma by rolling up the car window on it 🤦🏼‍♂️😓 BUT I recovered with this 2 pound bass on a cheap roddy rod using a football head jig with a senko!
