Better than a skunk I guess. #catch22

1st Bass this year.

This girl was stubborn but I got the catch and release! I ran a green pumpkin jig with matching craw trailer over her bed several times, but she just grabbed it behind the hook and spit it out a few feet away. I added a trailer hook and boom, first cast hooked up, just for her to spit it in my face at the shore... After a 10 min wait she came back and I switched to a white fluke trailer with the trailer hook and Bam! Bob's your uncle!!!

I love this little honey hole of a pond. This was my first time back in years, many years. I used to float tube it weekly back in my younger years and it stands as the pond I caught my PB of 8lbs 12oz on a roboworm. But this one was on an old school shad crank bait... which you can see stuck in the saw grass when I got greedy and casted one more time🤪 it was still there on Saturday the 22nd and I hope to run into a tuber tomorrow 1/25/22 to help me retrieve it.🤷🏻‍♂️
