Lake Brown

Another small bass caught, this time while being ignored by sand hill cranes, but closely monitored by a small alligator (Wally) that followed me every time I moved. He was scaring the fish. It may be the reason the small bass decided to let me hook him. I still seek redemption for the large bass that got away by diving into the thick lily pads causing me to snap my 6 lb test line. My own fault for my lack of recognition when the line on which I I was reeling a 3” paddle tail suddenly changed direction. I only thought to set the hook when I saw the large bass jump from the water and flip it’s tail around a couple of times. So he has my lure and some line…hopefully he didn’t get tied up in the weeds
