Caught this tarponsnook fishing docks lights earlier this summer just south of Stuart in the intracoastal. Which completes my 4 Florida species snook slam. Like most avid SoFlo anglers I’ve caught countless common snook, back in 2008 I caught a fat snook, last year I caught a sworspine snook, and this year this tarponsnook completes the slam. I feel very fortunate/blessed to have accomplished this angling feat. For those who aren’t familiar, for some reason between Jensen Beach & Jupiter these 3 rarely caught species of snook live. To my knowledge fat snook, swordspine, and tarponsnook are not found in any other part of the state.
