It's dark, I'm listening to the sounds of a Mangrove Swamp. I just saw fireflies for the first time in my life. They are all around me. I'm packing up to go home and then BOOM! I'm getting slammed!! It's big! I finally wrestle it to shore and it's a 22" Sciaenops ocellatus. A species I have never seen before. An absolutely Beautiful, powerful Fish. Nature keeps Blowing my brains out each and every day. 1/0 Hook, 15 pound mono, no weight, no leader. Cutbait

Strongylura notata caught on live shrimp. Very aggressive fish. I caught 3 in rapid succession.
