Outgoing tide, clear water, about 1 foot and 1/2 deep. I saw a couple small reds cruise by about 20 feet in front of me, then I seen this bigger guy. I cast about 5 feet past him and before I could even get the slack out of my line, he hammered the shrimp and took off towards the oyster bar which is also surrounded by a rock wall. I thought I was going to get broke off before I could get him turned. It was a great fight but I eventually had to tighten drag down and horsed him in. It was a risk but it paid off today, he was just under 25”.
