Tampa Bypass Canal

Dam was loaded with tarpon but none would bite got this little guy waiting out the rain under a bridge

Tore the snook up at the dam today I landed 10 we got 14 total. They have the gates open at the dam and water is flowing like crazy lost 4 tarpon right off the bat then the snook bite turned on would have had more but it was tough to keep lines tight in the rapids

First day out in about a month and was a good one caught one tarpon jumped another and had a lot of snook action but they wouldn't take it they seemed to be targeting smaller bait. Also found a baby alligator snapper hopefully he makes it to adulthood i recently read they are endangered.

Couldn't even fish yesterday they were probably in the 1000s never seen them this heavy before

Still after that massive tarpon these little guys didn't want me to get him I guess can't complain was a fun morning

Catfish were on tear today we caught about 12 total and a few ladyfish couldn't even get a chance at the tarpon these guys were popping it the sec it hit the water. Was throwing the pearl fluke

Tarpon rolling everywhere only managed to get a cat hit the pearl fluke top water. Got a pic of a nice spotted gar I see everytime I'm there he has very nice markings

Anyone have any idea what the hell this is?
