Hooked 4, reeled in 2. Decent day for fishing because of the overcast we had. One of the ones I couldn’t reel in just came off after a really good fight, and the other I got hooked to the bank while hooked to the fish. It then flopped off.

Saw this at my pond while I was fishing. Not a fish, but still cool!

Caught three, but two flopped back in before I could get pics. Pretty small. The big ones have learned to not bite the lure I’m using. Smart fish. Probably switch lures next time.

I’m gonna take a pic of the inside of every fishes mouth that I catch. Look at those gills! One day, I’m gonna invent a way to make artificial gills for humans.

Ignore my buck-teeth 🦫 🦷 and it’s a good picture with my catch! I caught one by the tail, somehow. The other I caught by the mouth in two places, in the lip and on the hill. That one was hard to remove. That’s one thing I don’t like about treble hooks, but the rattling lure I use gets the attention of tons of fish, which makes up for it. Also, anyone know if this is a largemouth black bass or a Florida bass?

Used a rattling lure to catch this guy, who was guarding his eggs. Would’ve caught more but it got a hook in my finger and I started bleeding really bad. I’ll be back later today.

Same method as last time. I had another one too, but it flopped back into the water before I could get a picture. I think they are guarding eggs, because they just swim back and forth. Weird thing is, they aren’t adults, so maybe not eggs?

I went to the clear and shallow part of the pond, saw this fish. My reel on my rod was broken, so I got another rod (it was also broken), ripped off the tail to make it smaller, and then cast at the fish about 30 times. It wouldn’t swallow the lure so I couldn’t set the hook. I ended up catching it by letting it bite, swim away a little, and jerked it out of the pond, no hook needed. Time consuming, but it worked and was fun.
