They were very aggressive in this little cove, they had the baitfish cornered

Since I was only fishing a couple of hours before dark, of course I didn’t have my scale in the boat. 🤦🏼‍♂️ She had to have been an absolute tank pre-spawn! Her mouth was about 3 of my fists wide and she almost completely filled up the starboard live well. The fight really drained her so she got the full spa treatment: G-juice with the recirc and Oxymax on high. After about 8 mins, I could tell (and feel) she was perking up. Left her in there (live well) for about 20 minutes total. Had to wrestle to get ahold of her and she took off like a missile as soon as she was in the water, invigorated and ready to keep growing. Caught her on a 1/4oz 6th Sense Divine swim jig in bluegill fire color with a Juggle Minnow trailer in “ghost minnow”.

Got skunked at Heath lake today, first time there, seems nobody was having luck at the dock. Went to a local pond and the only thing they were hitting were jigs, caught two on back to back cast, both right up on bank in the shade, pretty sure I nailed one in the head, as soon as it touched the water he blew up
