Lil bit of fishing after work. My fishing style lately has been like my personality....WACKY! Idk what Selman Lakes are. This was at Rocky Mtn PFA. East Antioch.

Mide day

Caught 2 decent sized bass

Tough conditions today. Post frontal, pressure rising, temps rising. Stained water with about 2-1/2’ visibility. Only positive was a little wind. Thought I was going to get skunked. Finally started getting a few bites on rip-rap with a jerk bait in the 6’ range.

The only thing I caught this AM. Only had 45 mins to fish. Left the monsters for tomorrow.

Had one of the best mornings of fishing ever! Going to write a detailed fishing report for anyone that’s interested. Been a long time since I had double “bass” thumbs!

So us grown-up “advanced” anglers got skunked. My nephew is the only one that caught anything. 2 nice little bass. While we were out messing with fancy baits and difficult presentations, he was actually catching fish on a good ole Texas-rigged plastic worm.....

Got this little guy using a top-water hollow body frog. I was given a tip that really helps with “walking” the lure for a better presentation. -trim the legs to be the same length as the body. Then trim one side about 1/2 inch shorter. Really helps to get the frog to rotate from a pause.
