Copper Slough Spill-Off

Urban ponds with few weeds are a rare find. Decent mixes bag - didn't even know there were redears here - but few fish. Waiting for streams to get wadable.

Finally off the dink train.....except that the lure it fell for was pretty dinky. Couple smaller LMBs on fire tiger shallow crankbait. 80s and what a wind out there!!

Sometimes you can’t wait for work to be over because you think the conditions are perfect and you’re going to tear them up! Unfortunately that means 3 hours, 3 spots, just the one fish. Not even another bite.

Maybe it thought my crappie jig was corn? Caught a few small crappie as well before I ended up getting drenched. First carp I’ve landed.

Lunch hour catch. Had given up, just casted my lure out as far as I cound and just started walking back to my car while dragging line behind me. Almost pulled pole from hands, didnt really expect to get a bite while doing that.

Then an even bigger one. Glad I found this place.

That’s why you fish anywhere you can find. Just found this spot a few weeks ago.
