Clear Lake

Got up early to wet a line before work, slow but this little guy had enough fight to make it worth it.

Last season I (unsuccessfully) started carp fishing. Bought alot of gear and went out more than a handful of times with nothing but skunks to show for it. This year I started doing some more research (huge shout out to Outside with Tom on Youtube who has great recipes and techniques) So I went to the water armed with my new knowledge and had a great day burning drag with these gentle giants. I'm hooked.

Possibly the strangest thing I've ever caught! Had a green light hanging off of a dock and was jigging a bladebait near the edge, felt resistance so started reeling, it clearly wasn't a fish but didn't feel like seaweed either. I couldn't believe it when it came to the surface. Too bad I couldn't get a school of them to come in!
