Finally found some time to fish and wanted to practice using a weightless plastic minnow which I’d never tried. Morning session I lost two, one of which was a much better fight than this guy but came off. Went back in the evening determined, and felt great to land one!

Caught my first White Crappie while looking for bass. Barely felt it hit. Bonus video of a cool frog i managed to pull the water. No hook set, it just held on to the lure and let go in mid air.

Caught my first Carp. Saw several big ones right at the surface at the edge of the water. This one was further out and it hit after I casted directly at something that jumped. Bummed to not get a photo — it flailed back into the water right when I took the hook out.
